That brings up a question. This was a TPI car? And you replaced it with TPI? If memory serves they are at different pressures with the TBI. +1 on what 86Z350 Most likly its the sending switch/connection. Have you started the car? Pump should run for about 10 seconds when the key is turned on then shut off ifthere is nooil pressure.

wire the green wire (i think) [it's the one that goes to the oil pressure sending unit to key power] trust me it work's
