Default front sway bar

i took a look under my car the other day and i notice the bolt attaching my sway bar on the right side of my car had about an inch of clearance between the bar and the lower bushing. is that normal, or should i tighten it down all the way. i thought it was odd because the left side isnt like that at all.

is the right side bushing squeezed down at all? if not, tighten it down until you get good crush on the rubber

Is it the end link? It should be tightened all the way down, like was said, until the bushing bulges a little. Though the urethane wont bulge they need to be tight!.
The bushings to the body need to have the brackets tight and flush with the body. If its tight and there is clearance then the bushing needs replaced. If you go urethane get the greasable ones. They no squeek

i believe this happened when the car fell off the rack as well. because it wasnt like that when i changed the oil. and i dont think its a problem that just works its way in.

Those look like the urethane bushings but the bottom photo is wrong. It should look like the top photo. Either put together wrong or the spacer broke through the washer

if the spacer broke through the washer just put a thick washer on there. The factory ones on my car were just flat washers. But it looks like and may be that the spacer cut into the bushing. The urethane ones are a little pricey but I seen them at autozone or summitracing.com. Or just get the rubber ones and just use one. It wont hurt anything.

a place to start looking. Universal ones will also work. The oem length is like 7"x3/8" bolt. If my memory serves because I just did this.

cool, thx. i make sure i check www.rockauto.com before i buy a part somewhere else. because rockauto normaly has uber cheap prices. if its a part i can do without for a few days i order it, if i need it right away i go to autozone. rockauto is where i saw the spicer brand.
