Default Front Pump Removal

The front pump seal on my 84 Z28 spilled what looks like all the fluid in the 700R4. Pulled and the trans and was about to replace the seal and reinstall. Searching around the net, there were are lot of post that says to change the pump and seal or it's a waste of time. Can't figure out how to take the pump off the front. After removing the bolts, what is the next steps?

The next step is to pull the pump away from the case, there is a large seal/gasket between the case and the pump and if it sticks it has to be broken loose. There ia a special tool for this, but you can pry it loose, but be careful not to cause damage to the pump or case.
