Default First Upgrade.

I own a 1992 Camaro Rs, Enigne 305, all stock car and was wondering what a good first upgrade would be.

the biggest bang for the buck would be to put a gear and posi depending if it already has a posi. Thats your biggest gain right off the bat.

very true but if he wants to keep upgrading why bother having to go back and put one in when u all ready have the rearend opened up.

GMMG IS THE GREATEST EXHAUST CAT BACK PERIOD. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. i would go with an entirely new exhaust system from exhaust tip to the headers

i would say slap a set of headers on there and a full exhaust. with the 305 2 5/8 diameter headers will be fine. I bought some for my 350 from hooker. They are the super comp shortys. Pretty nice, but it takes some time to install them.

Get a carbon fiber hood and an exhaust tip. Oh, and a 5½ shot of Nitrous! You'll gain like, 2 horsepower, it'll be sick!

But seriously, what motor do you have, beyond just a 305, is it Throttle Body Injected, or Tuned Port Injection? Makes a big difference.
