Dtc

Ok, i understand that i turn the key to the on position and i will first see the blinking light sequence for a code 12.

But after that it is going to show any other codes that are present?

How are these other codes besides the code 12, represented?

Are they represented also with different flashing sequences?
If so, how do i read them? How do i know what sequence is a "code 32" >___>?
I am getting my info from this site Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)

Straighten a paperclip, bend it in half, then grab a pen and paper. With key on, insert one end of paperclip into terminal A, other end in terminal B (shown in your link). Code 12 (no distributor pulse because the engine isn't running) will flash by default. You will get one flash, a pause, then 2 flashes = 12. It will do this 3 times. Then if you have any other codes, those will flash. Code 32 for instance will be 3 flashes, pause, 2 flashes. Again, it will do each code 3 times. When you get back to a code 12 again, you're done.

how do i know when codes begin and when they end?

I'll give it a shot and see what happens..

Watch as soon as you stick the paperclip in. Or insert paperclip, then turn key on. You will at least get: 1-pause-2, 1-pause-2, 1-pause-2 (code 12). Then another pause. If the next set is 1-2 1-2 1-2 again, you have no error codes. If there are error codes stored, you will get a different set of flashes. Read them all until you get back to the 1-2 flashes, then you're at the end. If you're still lost, post a video. Or, I'm sure there's plenty of how to's on youtube.

If I read this right, i think i get ... 3-2 3-2 3-2, 3-3 3-3 3-3, 4-5 4-5 4-5
So what do those 3 codes mean? ><
3-2 = EGR?
3-3 = Map Sensor?
4-5 = Rich Exhaust?

Do i have this correct? v___V

Camaro 69 Jul 8, 2015 05:26 PM

Yep.
32: EGR not flowing, not changing MAP sensor signal
33: MAP sensor voltage too high
45: Oxygen sensor over .7 volts
Fix the EGR issue first and do a battery disconnect/error code reset, that may clear up the others.

What would you recommend doing first for the EGR issue?
Should i replace the MAP sensor and see if that fixes it?
Or do you mean check the vaccum hoses and egr sylenoid?

"32 egr not flowing, not changing map sensor signal" you mean the egr could be clogged? or what is your opinion?
