can i use long bolts with just thread toward the end of the bolt instead of pins for now and just use nyloc nuts and snug them a tiny bit....i want the rattle gone and i dont feel like dealing with puting in the proper pins.

Just get the right stuff. If you are going to deal with bolts and nuts, what is so much different than dealing with the pins and bushings other than the cost. Nuts and bolts without bushing will wear out the hinges holes and then you have a bigger fix later on.

They sell hinge and bushing kits at Advance, I got some to do mine, but never got around to it, looks like you have to take the damn door off...

I have seen hinge pin kits on flebay just like the ones that "Unlikable Mike" posted, but for a bit less money.
AndI agree, do it once, and do it right.
The door doesn't have to come off, if you have a grinder that can reach in there to cut the old pin off. And you can't use the cheap insert bushing/slide pin though, it needs to be the bolt style as shown.

I did my upper with that kit without taking the door off. If you read that site that guy is the one who developed those upper hinge repairs. If some one sells them on ****-e-bay its either him or they get the kits from him or coppied and made their own.

The lower pins and bushings you can get from the dealer or places like Napa, Autozone, CSK or just about any parts store. I used to get door pins for Chevy trucks from Napa for around $12

Oh and I don't know what kit you looked at if you checked out Andy's kits but one standard kit that does both hinges for one door is $79.

But if you are just going to do the lower, Which is odd because usualy the upper hinge on anything wears out first, then I think the Camaro pins and bushings are the same ones used in First Gen S10's (82-93 PU, and to 94 S10 Blazers)

My lowers were so blasted that the bushing was gone and some of the hinge was worn away. I actually had to tac weld the bottom of the pin in. Dire solution but it was pretty bad, and it works. Just bite the bullet and replace them...half assing that job will cause you more of a headache.
