Default does it hurt the electronics if I remove the weather strip from cowl?

I just installed an open element air cleaner on my 92 TBI. I would like to take advantage of removing the weather strip from the factory cowl so the engine compartment can breath better, but I do drive it in the rain at times. Will anything in the engine compartment get too wet and not work?

The electronics might get hurt only if they get wet.
Test it out by opening the hood and spraying a garden hose down the windshield. Where does the water want to flow to?
In response to your other thread about the air cleaner, this is how I did mine: https://camaroforums.com/forum/82-92...305-tbi-28278/
