Default cosmetic issues

Hi, I was wondering where I can get some quality parts at a bargain price for the following issues on my '89 Camaro RS:

Both of the hood and trunk hydraulic arm struts are not working anymore. I need new to replace all four (two in the front, two in the back).

The key gets jammed in the driver's side door lock. Now I have to open it from the passenger's side and unlock the driver's door from there. Kind of annoying.

Weather stripping all around the passenger and driver sides windows need to be re-done. The stripping is old and is cracking in many places.

Thanks for your help.

The hood ($40 set) & hatch ($50 set) struts can be bought at any Auto Parts store.

The easy way is call a locksmith or buy a new lock (hard way).

Do a google seach for Camaro weather stripping.

I got "new" hood struts at the salvage yard. $10 and I had to take them off (well, my son took them off while I gave expert advice).

I just got my weatherstripping for the whole car (except the ttops). I got them from Metro Moulded parts. My body guy likes them better than sofseal and I think I paid around 200 for everything. Be careful, it is a royal pain to put them correctly. Ttop seals I went with GM and they were just as much and there is no way I could have done them right without a lot of swearing and frustration. Also, put some vaseline on the new rubber, as it has an annoying side effect of sticking to the paint making it tougher to open doors. Seriously...

Stay away from hood and trunk struts from a junkyard or ebay. Most are either whooped or on their last leg. I know they are expensive, but buy them new. Replace them in pairs, they work together.....

Replace the locks. Its a minor pita, but well worth the time.

weatherstripping can be found on ebay. As stated earlier, they can be a pain but replaceing them makes a huge improvement. Unless your T Tops are leaking like a wide open garden hose, Id leave them alone. My old t top seals took me a full week just to remove and scrape out!
