Default Connector confusion!

So, spent the last two days digging the "custom wiring" out of my Camaro, done pretty good so far (200, yes, 200 feet of speaker wiring ending... nowhere!) Underneath the dash (as usual) is a mess, so I thought I might as you people what the deal is with some of these things. Not sure about the green and purple wires being spliced together, nor the clipped thick yellow wire?? Also the three (dis)connectors pictured.. one is the ALDL, right?

Not sure about some of them, but i've been doing some of the under dash cleanup myself.
Is this an auto or a 5 speed?

It's a five speed converted to an auto, haha. Yeah I think the green and purple clipped wires were originally part of the clutch assembly. The yellow wire went to the gear selector switch in the center console, which has mostly been cut away. The melted one, I still don't know. Really don't want to know lol. Kind of think it might be originally for the cruise control. Big one, I'm not sure on, and the small one I believe might have been part of the harness for the rear defog?

I was about to mention the purple / green white yes. If it was a 5 speed, somewhere a long all of that chain would have been possibly a starter relay if equipped with vats and a clutch switch to determine whether the pedal was pressed down. If I recall it will go from the ignition switch to the starter relay to the clutch switch to the starter.... which seems to be spliced and bypassed since you obviously are missing a clutch now.

Also, for the safety of your starter and your ignition system, you may want to at least put some electrical tape around that splice.... if it came into contact with any metal... might be bad.
