code 14
im throwing code 14. Says its a coolant temp sensor circuit. Its not over heating, only runnin 180 today. So thats not the problem. BUT i did massacre that sensor, but i was on a tight budget so i glued it together and called it good, no problems till now. strange thing is. its not always there. When i was driving today ( it started on my way home from work today) it would come on ONLY when i was under 2000 rpm. Didnt matter what speed i was going, just the RPM. Which is whats throwing me off. Maybe cause the water pump is moving quicker, causeing the coolant go move faster past the sensor? Its probably going bad. My lil rig job probably failed me now. But let me know what your thoughts here are.
Another thought... This book is telling me the switch is in the front of the left head... but the switch i broke is below the head all together and near the 6 and 8 cylinder... I guess thats it? i hope thats it?

RE: code 14
yet ANOTHER question to add onto these... There are two sensors, one by the thermostat but actually in the manifold, and one in the thermostat houseing... what are those? Since the regular sensor isnt where it usually is, would one of those be it?

RE: code 14
The sensor in the intake is the one that is throwing the code. The temp sender for the gauge will not do that. The sensor should have a black and a yellow wire. It goes bad. The computer makes note that the temp has not changed for a certain time while running and will tell you that giving you the idea that the sensor is bad. Pretty much. The light also does not stay on. It will go out and come back on at certain times and speed
