A/C works well, then it doesn't, then it does....
Hi all, hope this is the right sub forum.
Have a '91 Camaro with a 305. Original compressor and everything else that goes along with the a/c. Last summer everything was fine. This summer, something has happened. Turn the a/c on, I get cold air. But only for about 1 min. Then, tho the air keps blowing, it's not cold. That lasts for maybe :30. Then, it gets cold again, then not, and it keeps going back and forth.
The fact that the air is cold sometimes, tells me I have refrigerant, and that the compressor is functioning. Not knowing where to start, I yanked all of the fuses - they are all fine.
Any ideas where to look?
Thanks in advance.

watch the a/c compressor clutch while it is doing it. if the clutch is disengaging, i will second the thought of low a/c pressure, especially if its all original. if it was clogged, it wouldn't really cycle like that. it would either be cool (not cold), or would freeze up
