well i did find one other camaro its a 84 Z28 it has a 350 V8 with only 50,000 miles on it, it runs and drives like it was almost new just that it needs some body work definetly paint the guy wants 1000 for it

keep your eye open, but for $500, you almost can't go wrong if all mechanical is good. If it was just a small ding, get the frame straightened, even if you put in $1500, you still end up with a good car minus the 305, they do suck ***** as quoted above and are not worth modifying when you can just get a 350 later. As for the rest of the car, hit a scrap yard for parts if you are hurting for coin and ya, do it yourself. BUT, as all have mentioned above, frame work (unibody)is very expensive, and here it is illegal for the most part. I haven't seen alot come off the rack completley straight, once the metal is bent, it will never be 100%.

i looked at the car you cant tell that its bent the guy told me that its just slightly bent. i have heard good thing about 305s that they do good on gas and when they are in a small light car like a camaro they are very quick my dad had 2 different trucks 85 chev with the 305 and now a 91 chev with the 350 the 305 got 20mpg highway and the 350 gets 14mpg highway and he said that the 305 had more power.
