Are you talking about the pics on the other thread? Did you say the bolts are rusted? Mine are plastic studs with a speed nut holding them in place.

 

No i posted pics in this thread. I can see them. If you guys can't I'll post them again. But my studs are metal with regular hexagonal nuts.

You have an original IROC-Z hood right? My car was made post-iroc days and idk for a fact that my hood was even made by GM and not a third party company. I'm not gonna go look either. I will in the morning though.

 

Are those nuts on the bottom side of the hood plastic or metal? If I'm seeing what I think I am, the large round part of the stud snapped off from the louver? I would try some all-purpose cement, the kind that's used on pvc/abs plastic pipes (it melts the plastic together). You can get it at hardware stores, Menards, Home Dopey, etc., in the plumbing section. Try one first, and if that doesn't hold, I'd give Gorilla glue a shot. If you use Gorilla, be sure to clamp the stud down because that glue expands. And because it expands, you don't need to use a lot. Gorilla glue is some pretty good stuff.

 

Mine are metal. Its Stevolwevol's that are plastic. I have some gorilla glue on hand actually. I may try that.

 

I was curious to see if you were able to repair the louvers.
