Anyone know where I can find this screw for my convertible top?
Late last week I came home and was going to put up my top on my car. When I tried lifting the top up, only one side came up properly. It turns out that a screw that goes to one of the hinges broke. Only the head came off (and I have no idea where it went to) but I have been searching feverishly online to see if I can find a replacement to no avail. Please, if you know where I can find this screw, help your fellow Camaro owner out!
I plan on checking out my local junk yard once I get a chance, but last I was there I didn't see any convertible Camaros or Firebirds.

Thanks for the response, but I had no luck there. Although I doubt I need to get another one, but since it seems to be very hard to find, does anyone know where I could even get a new convertible top frame? I haven't been able to find even one so far.

No dice there either. The only Camaro convertible frames I see are for first-gens. I will keep my fingers crossed in hopes of a convertible showing up at the junk yard. Any idea of how much it would cost me if I just walked into a GM parts center and purchased it there (assuming they carry it)?

Is that just a button head torx? I have sen those at the hardware store. But the black from there will get rusted.
Maybe look for them here.

If it is just a simple bolt then you should be able to go to a dealer and get one. That same bolt might fit many different aplications and locations.

I think you got it MadMike! Now if I could find where the hell I put my torx bits I might be able to figure out what exact one I need. By the way, what do you mean "But the black from there will get rusted."?

I have gotten hardware store bolts in the black oxide and it is not rust proof. I think you have to search for soem with an anodized coating or just paint them.
