Default Advice on what to do, Part 2

Hey guys, so after speaking with a few of you I was given the option of a 5.3l swap into my previously v6 88 camaro. I found one for relatively cheap. 2006 L59 engine with everything on it, alternator, belts, PS, etc. Got the ECU and wiring harness with it as well, but I saw one thing that sort of concerns me. It has an electronic throttle control. I've researched on how these things work and I noticed that the systems take in variables from other systems, such as brakes, wheels, etc. I don't have any of these sensors on this old car of mine. I'm wondering if this might cause the throttle control to remain at idle constantly because it's receiving no signals, if so what would I be able to do to fix it? Replace it with a manual throttle body? Install sensors?

Also, I have the 700R4 transmission from that pontiac. I know it will bolt up to this 5.3l but I'm wondering if there may be any performance issues. I also need to know what kind of torque converter would be best for this install. Any suggestions?

Possibly, one of the simplest things, would be to replace the electronic throttle control with a mechanical linkage and a TPS, and have the ECM/PCM tuned accordingly.

Would I need to get a different throttle body? How much would tuning it cost? Just discovered the original transmission is also electronically controlled and the 700r4 isn't. Would getting the ECU tuned be able to eliminate the need for a 4l60e?
