9vs10

im starting to question my 9 bolt purchase. i like it. but the aftermarket for it is LAME.

now i came to these questions. If i were to buy a better posi and axles to shove into the 10 bolt, would it be stronger or just a waste of money? Im not going to be making super power with this car but i dont want to have to worry about the rear too much. i can get gears for the 9 bolt and call moser to make me some axles. I suppose if money wasnt a factor both could be made plenty strong for my needs, but money is indeed a factor.

i also like the disc brakes that my 9 bolt has. but i can get me a 4 wheel bear setup for it for 800 bucks.

decisions decisions..

well what im gona do, since for me money is my biggest problem, i get less hours at work in the winter time. i have like 3:24 gears or something like that. but i dont haveany money to get even a junkyard rear. so im welding my rear end together. im a qualified welder so it should be a breeze. my buddy had a welded rear in his truck. that thing went through soooo many roll backs you would believe. but thats what im doing until i get a real job so i can buy a good 12 bolt. just a thought:eek:

yea if i kept the 10 i was gonna weld the tubes to the actual diff case and do c-clip eliminators. Do a 9inch style retainer at the end of the tubes

no im talking about welding the differential it self. like a fully locked rearend. example: when you turn in a parking lot going 5 mph, the tires squeal because the inside tire doesnt slip.
