I've got a 25th anniv z28 w/ the 5 spd and 305. It has an electronic ignition and older chip in it, flowmaster cat back and that's about it.
It's got a blown intake gasket, so I'll be pulling the intake off over the winter. I've been considering forced induction on the car for a while now, and since I'll be pulling the intake off anyway, no time like the present to make the decision. So my question to you all is what is the motor capable of handling without significant modification to the internals? With a clutch built for the torque, what can the transmission and rearend handle?
Thanks in advance.
