Default 91 rs camaro overheating and no acceleration

Ok well first off i love my camaro and would really like to get it running correctly. Ok but no comes the bad part. When we bought the car it had been sitting for about a year because the radiator had a leak we got that fixed then replaced the coolent. We replaced the spark plugs and wires. We replaced the thermostat and while working on all of this we weren't driving it very much. After replacing all of that we then needed to drive it regularly and it did ok for a couple of months then it started acting up. We noticed that it runs really hot so we started driving it with the ac on to keep the fan running but then the car started idleing really ruff and its got no acceleration what so ever and it spits and sputers when you give it gas. Thanks in advance and sorry its a little long lol

Check your coolant tubing and such. If your coolant is just disappearing and not dripping everywhere you may have a big problem. Try revving your car a bit and then shutting her off with the hood up and get out and listen for little squirting noises. I found it to be a good way to troubleshoot where the leak was. I drive a 91 rs also and had the same EXACT problem. Mine ended up being a leaking head gasket, so close from blowing the engine. DO NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL YOU FIND OUT! If its not the coolant it might be the fan timing being off. Good luck! Youll probably need it.

When the engine gets to a certain temperature the fans should kick on. If your car is overheating it could be that the fans arent coming on at the right time. THAT fan timing.
