Default 91' Camaro Wheels

I was just wondering if any one has any ideas on how/what to do to the aluminum 16in red insert type of rims on a 91' camaro RS. Me and my dad thought about polishing all the high spots then painting the red inserts red again. I would appriciate anyother suggestions you might have.

Thanks

Mine had faded to pink. One wheel I noticed that laquere thinner will take the clearcoat off the wheels. So I was going to polish the bare aluminum and repaint the red. I gave up a scuffed and repainted all the red.
I say go for it! Laquere thinner and a scotch brite pad cleans off the clear but leaves a gooy mess to clean and then the metal has a machined finish which you might want to sand. Polish them then tape and paint. Then let us see what it looks like.

I had a set of those wheels that looked great when they were just straight polished metal, pretty much do what Mike said without painting them.

Either way looks nice, but I kinda prefer straight metal to paint for the rims.
