hmmmm I can't tell you about a V6 but my 91 Rs with a 305 TBI get on average 22 mpg.

17-18 city, 27-28 highway for a '91/'92 V6.

15-16 city, 25-26 highway for a '91/'92 V8. There isn't a significant difference between the 305 and 350.

In all seriousness, it's not that bad even with a V8. I've got a 305 TPI, and at equivalent of $5.35/gallon, it cost at most $55/450km (roughly 275 miles)

You yankees are funny, griping about prices we'd beg to be able to pay :v

More power does not always mean less MPGs. When you have more power it takes less throttle to get a response. Plus having a 2:77 rear gear does not hurt for mpgs.

And I am not familure with Canadian curency. Is it the same rate as American?

Indeed- the difference between the V6 and the V8s on third-gens is barely worth bothering with, in terms of mileage. You'd save maybe a buck at every fill, tops.

Not exactly, but it's so close to being the same right now it may as well be.

That $5.35/gallon is converted into US dollars, for ease of comparison. Last price I paid was CAN$1.44/L

I should have put 22 mpg combined. Not just city. Anytime I go on a road trip which consist of highway, back roads, in town and anything which has speeds between 25 to 65-70ish mph I check it.
just the other day I was on a drive that took me on the highway for about a third of it and the small highways through he hills and small towns and waits for road construction with 3rd and 4th gear driving up and down hills and I got near 23 mpg with spirited driving.

my 3.1 in my '90 RS is getting about 25 in town. when i had my 350 in my car (before i did damage) i was averaging around 21 in town. all depends on how light (or heavy) your right foot is
