i just bought my fist camaro its a 85 no motor or trans someone told me it came with a 4 banger in it stock but im not sure thats right i was wondering if anyone could tell me what motor came in it vin# 1g1fp87s1fn125881 any info would be helpful thanks

yea, put the 350 in for sure, are you lucky enough to not need the emissions equipment?

 

see that giant wire harness running along your firewall?? cut it out and go carb!

 

so i wont need to put a new wireing harness in. i know i have to take out the fule pump. and no i dont have to have emissions equipment. thanks for the help im kinda new with the older carbed cars

 

NO EMISSIONS EQUIPMENT!! im jealous. Go carb for sure man. A nice 350, even a 383 stroker... ohhh man what i would do to be in your shoes!

 

tom, have you looked into collector car insurance for you maro? i believe for most "collector cars" you are exempt from emissions testing but are limited to how many miles a year you can drive it. and i think if a car is 20 years old it qualifies, so you may have to wait, but its something to look into

 

na, its my daily driver for now, but hopefully buy then it wont be, or ill have a different maro to make a BEAST! lol
