Default 3rd gen wiring

ok, i have a small issue i would like some advice on. i have an 86 camaro that i'm putting a carb'd 383 in.
it had a mpfi v6 to start. i know i need to keep my oil pressure sender harness, the water temp wire, the speedo cable, the tach drive, the fuel sending unit wiring and the harnesses for the lights and starter. but what can i get rid of. i know it wont need the computer or the VATS? module. so if somone could tell me where the computer and VATS are, or which harnesses i can pull out, that would be great.

The computer and pass key is behind the dash on the right side. Right above the passengers feet. When you pull the computer the harness that you unplug from it can go Bye-Bye. All your wires for gauges and stuff are on the other side of the fire wall. Seperate from the computer.

so basically everything hooked up to the silver box behind the right side of the dash and the wires for it can go? and just keep the wires from the lefthand side?

Yes that is the comnputer and you wont need or be able to use those any more. If you have a 700R4/4L60 you will need to get a controller for the TCC. They are in the area of $80 +/- and you can get them from places like www.summitracing.com
