Default Removing ignition key cylinder help

Can anyone tell me how to remove the ign. key cylinder from the steering column on my 88. I found a tilt steering from an 85 f-bird and it looks almost identical to my fixed style. I'd like to swap my original key cyl. into the tilt. My rep. manual doesn't show it. I remeber on my old chevy p/u I had toturn toacc. position then stick a thin metal somewhere on the side then continue to turn the cyl. counter clockwise but I'm not sure. Any replies greatly appreciated.

That shows how to tighten the loose tilt columns but part way is how to get the lock cylinder out. And it has pictures!

Thanks MadMike, Great link! Mine still feels pretty tight but I may as well go the whole nine yards since I'll be half way anyway. Might be a good Idea to check my horn wire and lube everything.

If you go the whole way you will also need something to remove the pivot pins and a female torx socket to tighten the bolts that come loose.
