Default 3rd GEN MPG

Post them up guys and girls. V6, V8, Iron Duke, V8 running on 3 cylinders what ever you have. Also include info about your car and what kind of driving habits you have.

Its been a while and not all of them are 3rd gens.

2000 WS6, Built 4L60 with TTI turbo and 12 bolt, 24 mpg on highway untill the hammer falls

1989 Firebird 2.8 700R4 hurting at 22 mpg highway with 230K on engine and trans. I am sure she could do better but look at the miles.

1999 Firebird 3.8 4L60 with cat back and wisper lid. getting a surprising solid 28 mpg on high way with 3.42 gears. Great little daily driver.

1988 Formula 305 TBI 700R4. Stock hitting maybe 21 highway and about 17 city.

1979 camaro TH350 SBC 350 sucking fuel and spitting oil at about 10 mpg.

2001 WS6. T56, 9 inch with 4.10s and 408 hitting about 19 mpg on high way.... Not going to talk about city

when mine was a stock 305 with a few collapsed lifters and a carbon clogged intake, i was getting 22-23 average of city/highway. if i manage to stay out of it, i now get about 14-15 around town. dont really do much highway, but when i do, its 120+ to clear it out

typically i get about 21 with a mix of highway/city. however i have managed to get a very impressive 28mpg when i cruised an entire tank at 75. i filled up got on the freeway in detroit, got off in grand rapids and filled up and checked mpg. on the way back to detroit i got 27 mpg, so suck it ricers! i got 26 in the u.p. doing 55 cruising, the timing was off a little then. if im on it hard i get maybe 17ish with a mix of city/highway. just your typical 173k 305 tbi with headers, no cat, 2.5" pipe and flowmaster (and that was before the open air cleaner with a k&n)

I remember getting 22, 23 mpg with my 305 IROC, but it's been so long since I drove it my memory might be off.
