This is not a kit job. New main bearing caps designed for 4 bolts are needed, the block has to be machined to accept the additional bolts, and the block, with the new bearing caps installed, has to be aligned bored by a machine shop.

Your best bet would be to take it to a machine shop you trust and get their advice on what to buy, and then have them do the work.

Agree with you 100% but they are advertised as a kit as in Norms post from Summit "They can be installed by anyone with a hand drill and a tap, and come with all necessary bolts, washers, and the drill bushing needed to complete the installation. These Milodon main cap kits are available in your choice of angled or straight bolts."

Just add enough thread sealer when you go into the water jacket and they dont tell you about boring and line honing.

If you are looking for different manufacterers do a search on ebay it will get you started there are lots of manufacturers ..... cheap to big bucks.

True let the machine shop do that. I don't trust e-bay to handle my motor parts unless they're brand name parts.

Ebay ticks me off I always get out bid in the last 5 seconds I could just smash this damn computer[:@] But it can lead you to some decent parts suppiers cncmotorsports was a good source. Eagle will let you order direct and they have a clearance section. Really though unless I need something asap(summits just a little over an hour away) I use a local guy he has at least matched the big names prices and he was a past nhra runner up in the 80s so his knowledge is valuable to me.
