Default 305 T.P.I. to 350 T.P.I.

Hey guys I just got an 89 Firebird GTA @180k miles. I was wondering what exactly I would need to properly swap the stock 305 TPI motor for a 350 TPI ? Any suggestions on where to get the stuff ?

Everything will transfer over, except you will need the followinf:
1) 22# fuel injectors.
2) knok sensor.
3) 350 chip for the ECM.
These are the major items, in addition to any other stock parts that will be needing replacement during the swap. wires, plugs, hoses, gaskets and etc and etc. Sources for parts is up to you and what you want, used or new. Howerver: It still is a money pit been there and done it.

Is it worth it or should I go with a carb'd 350 crate motor ?

You could. But will it pass Emission Tests, in most cases NO. Either way its gone to cost you some buck to gett a half way running car and most Half A-- swaps don't run that well. .

Well emissions in va are not required for 20 year old cars I dont think. I just dont know whether to get a crate motor for this thing, rebuild the 305 and beef it up with cam, heads, headers or just swap in a 350 TPI and it's computer. Which would be the easiest way ?
