Hello all! It's been a while, but I'm back. I am currently building a 350ci motor I got and purchased a set of 2460HKR hooker headers. The problem I'm faced with is that the headers are an oval port and the heads (on both the 305 that came out of the vehicle and the 350 I'm putting in) are square ports with rounded corners. Has anyone else come across something similar? Also, did the application work for you? My fear is that the oval ports on the headers will leak or I'll lose potential HP due to them not lining up correctly. Thoughts please? Any information would help at this point because I've spent a lot of time and money getting this motor ready to get my camaro that's been sitting for 2-years running again.

 

Additional information* The ID of the headers is 1 3/8 wide x 1 1/5 tall where the exhaust ports are 1 3/8 x 1 3/8. so the overall size of the port on the headers does seem to cover the port coming out of the head. I hope this extra information helps. Also, I've inserted the images of the ports for the heads and the headers below.
