Well I was looking at performance chips for my 2.8 not looking at really buying them yet but I notticed something funny...i found some but They said VIN #S....well my VIN starts with a 1G and i cant find any parts with the VIN#G...the only ones with a G were the 5.0's

 

They are refering to your engine code from your vin# which I think is the 8th character. Should be an "S" if it's a 2.8.

 

That's correct. #8 is the engine identifier code. There's a whole description of what the VIN is composed of here, if anyone is interested.
