OK guys so i got a 1986 camaro 2.8l & i'm wanting to swap to a V8 with the help of you guys. I'm gna need to compile a list of parts of what i need & what i can use from what i have. Can i use my tranny & drive shaft?? stuff like that, any help or advice would help!

Read the sticky first, it has the exact info you are looking for....but no, your v6 trans does not mate to the V8.

 

1) A BAG of Money
2) More skill than you have
3) More money

All kidding aside.....this topic has been covered a million times here. A 6 to 8 swap requires substantial engine management upgrades, usually a transmission swap, and a slew of other troublesome upgrades.
