87 Z w/ 305

Stock, beat up, out of tune.

I have plans, but lack the cash. I do like the idea of this topic though, so I'll post in the hope that this topic will not die, possibly become sticky'd

82 'Maro with a midlife 305. Little rust, Edlebrock intake and 600 carb. Leaky transmission, and a noisy rear end. Got her for 1300, and I thought another 1000 would be enough to ressurect her. Its only been 2 months and Im at almost double that. Putting headers and dual exhaust and rear end gears by spring. I cant beleive how much of a turd the 305 is at low end. BUT, its my project, and Im gonna make it work!

No i haven't, the car is not completly together yet. I have a lot of lil hundred dollar things( pretty much suspension and fuel system) i still need to get it running. From my knowledge, which you can never tell til you actually run the car. It should be a low to mid 12's car. I'll be driving it on the road also so i didn't want to go all out on it. When i do run it, ill let you know. but it prolly won't be til spring seeing as the tracks are closing up. But i will be on the streets of Wichita KS if your ever in town, JK.
