The dodge brothers were building parts fora fewauto manufactures (Oldsmobile was one of them) while ford was working for the edison company (must have been building light bulbs) When ford started building autos the dodge brother went soley to building parts for ford. The dodge brothers invested cash and parts into ford for a piece of the company. Well henry stepped down to let his son edsal run the company and henry started a rummor that he was starting a new company so fords stock went down. Henry bought out the dodge brothers forcheap. With the money they got theystarted building thier own vehicles.
