1980 Street wheels/tires

Hi guys, I have an 80 and I was wondering what are some good street tires. I'm kinda new to this so I don't know where to start. I have no wheels to start with so I'm lost..

It depends on what style you like .And what you are going to do with the car. I Run American Racing Torque thrust II`s There are also Minilites as well. Just look on line for all the wheel companies And or check the Gallery for other members cars .Good luck to you on yor search.

show us a good full side and front and rear 3/4 view picture then i'll help. then we can see what to put on it easier if you want to hear. me ilike all kinds of combos. but if you got some stock 15x7 Z28 wheels I like to put on BFG P235/60R15 or 245/60R15 with spacers on the back wheels to make even with the fronts like the 1970 1/2 and 1971 cars, the rear end had different track width ithink mostly because of drum type used. I put on 11"x2" drums on rear. with 15x7 on front and back I use some really big spacers on back. this prevents the horrible sucked in look out back and weird handling characteristics and tire wear its just funky without huge rear tires to correct it. measure and see yourself, it really handles wonderful , and looks very squared out and even with the spacers on back to match the front track width with not as wide of tires and wheels on back. plus what is your price range, fortune or target budget friendly? ihate to say it but every 2nd gen camaro almost has that sucked in rear tire look with all same tire size. but not if you use the spacer in back. ilike to use spacers in back they were standard on 3rd gen formula birds.
Personally iwould choose pro touring tires by Pirelli P7 pro touring that's NOT the normal 'p7' its the PRO TOURING tire. and I like BFGs. my car weighs 2800lbs and the p295 it had lasted for years and years with little to no tread wear and traction is like a standard street tire they are not sticky. but I think the pro touring tires by Pirelli p7 protouring only provide the wet weather and all season traction and wear best really according to testing of any tire made. not the most traction the race tires do that but the best standard tire for driving. that is my personal research of it anyway. iam squaring out my camaro and going to get it back nice and level and even and make a track looking car but street pizza delivery out the yinyang kind of like a driver handler with lightweight transamseries race wheels and Pirelli PROTOURING p7 tires at all four with a spare the same size and wheel. no donuts here. Yep , its going to be a real car again a Canadian experimental X29. and 69,000 miles on it.
