Default Quadra-jet carburetor

So I just bought this camaro and I'm new to anything carbureted so of course I'm looking at everything. I took the filter off the carburetor and looked at the model number on the Richardson quadra-jet and then Google told me that it was meant for a manual whereas mine is automatic. Does it actually make a difference?

Well for your automatic to work right you may need a hookup for the kickdown cable for passing gear if you have a T-350 and an electric switch for a T-400 but otherwise they are pretty much the same. What trans do you have? Rochester carbs are OEM on most GM cars and trucks from the '60's and '70's.
