Default Decoding a 73 VIN to determine if it is a Z28

I am looking at a 73 Split Bumper Camaro advertised as a Z28. How can I determine if the car is indeed a "Z" and did they make split bumper cars on 73'???
Thanks!
ED.

Look at the fifth digit in the VIN (engine code). It should be a "T" if the car is a Z.
