Best Spark Plugs for MPG
 

Hi lads,

browsing the ads on the site, I stumbled upon the E3 Spark Plugs - E3 Spark Plugs Catalog | Top Automotive, Lawn & Powersports Plugs - they claim better MPG and performance.

Is it true that something as simple (and cheap, compared to other parts of the engine) can bring such an increase on MPG?

Do you know of any other good spark plug brands? Or do you use standard one?

I am going to replace my plugs as I saw all of them are pretty rusted, but I'm going with NGK for the moment.

The only way they will give better mileage is if the plugs you are using now are misfiring. The rest is hype.
The best plug for your car is the same brand and number plug that the factory used when it built your car. Remember, the factory as access to every type of plug on the market, and can have plugs made to its specs if needed.

Yup use the oem plugs

Yeah - I thought that every car maker would be using these plugs if it was that cheap to get better mpg.

The NGK (very popular brand in Europe) I ordered are the same type I have on (I went to Halfords - UK chain for cars - with one of the current spark plug - they ensured me they'd be the same).

Yes, use any good plug that is correct for your engine, regardless of brand. I've tried them all over the years and never seen any difference between them.

E3 plugs make for good paper weights, that's about it.

I use Accel "Shorty" Header Plugs...They work a lot better with the headers Im runnin

awwwww man lol i bought E3's a couple years back when i first bought the car hahaha. So the whole iridium plug with the power or plutonium blah blah blah is just as good as the super cheap bosch plugs with one prong?
