Unhappy Antifreeze pool

Just purchased my long awaited 1980 Z28! It's a work in progress but for the most part I was able to drive it home and use it as my daily driver. I love it! Sadly, today I noticed a pool of antifreeze on top of the intake just beneath the carburator. Could it be the Thermostat housing gasket? I knoe for a fact that the coolant Overflow tank has a leak on the bottom but would that cause such a large puddle? Help.....

The Fan COULD(?) be blowing the coolant there... but I would look at the intake and gaskets around it and such too!

If you have one of those cheap, thin flange chrome water necks, your leak could be coming from there. But I doubt that's causing a pool a couple of valleys away. You should be able to see some sort of a trail or stain wherever it's coming from. A "pool" right below the carb can mean coolant is pushing up through the intake manifold bolt hole(s), which means a failing intake gasket. If your leak was coming from the water neck, I'd expect you to see a pool right near there instead.

Appreciate all the input, fortunately it was the thermostat housing. Previous owner just had silicone and no gasket. I tightened all the hoses then ran the engine after filling it. Saw the trickle coming out just rear of the housing. Changed out the gasket, put some high temp silicone, now it is running good without leaks.
