'81 transmission problems
 

Ok i have an '81 Camaor and is has a crapy 3-speed manule trany in it. I have bin lookin at other transmissions to swap but i cant find out if they will fit or not. So my question is does anyone know if a TH350 will fir in my 1981 Camaro.

the th350 will go right into it, or if you wanted to keep it manual, any 4 speed transmission for example like a muncie or a borg warner will bolt right in also, to be honest with you, if it is already a manual, i'd throw a 4 speed manual in it, you can get a lot more for the 4 speed setup if you ever tried to sell it.

My 81 came standard with a T350 most do. I have a 4 speed in my 80 factory. I don't like the way the gears shift to long and there is really nothing I could find to make a short shiffter. For racing I like the T350 with a stage 2 trans pack for fun stick is the way to go. Just how I think
