What's the best 2000 to 2400 stall speed torque converters for the money?
 

I might need a new torque converter for my rebuilt TH350. I won't know if I'll need another one until I get transmission out and look at the pan, filter and fluid. I have a B&M 2000 RPM Holeshot stall converter in my car now. Works pretty good too.

I'm changing my transmissions over the next few weeks. If I do need a new torque converter, who makes a good 2000 RPM stall converter? Also, who makes a good 2400 RPM stall converter? I need to stay at $300 or less. I've heard a few good things about Redneck Performance Converters. I've never used one of them though. I've called coan and a a few other company's and they never got back to me.

Let me know what you think the best 2000 RPM stall speed converter is?
And let me know what you think the best 2400 RPM stall speed converter is? Again, my limit is up $300.

if you dont mind me asking. why are wanting to change out stall converters. Just because of the incident that happened to me i would just replace the converter no matter what. Nothing could **** me off more than having to take my crammed transmission out twice lol. I have a B&M also and i love it although i really like TCI maybe check into them?

Yep, I'm going to need a new converter. I took the transmission out this afternoon. The fluid is a really dark maroon/purplish color. It doesn't look anything at all like transmission fluid. I'm not going to take a chance by putting it in my new transmission. I'm going to buy a new one. I think I'm going to go with a 2400 stall converter this time.

I don't know which brand I'm going to buy yet though.

I just ordered THIS Coan 11" Pro Street Converter. It was on sale for $299, usual price is $395. The tech I ordered from Craig, said it should stall/flash (not foot brake) right around 2600 RPM with my set up. He said it should work very well while I'm just tooling around town and shouldn't create excessive heat.

I've heard a lot of really good things about Coan Torque Converters. Never thought I could afford one though. They're shipping it out today and I should get it Wednesday. Can't wait to get it back together and see how my new transmission and converter works!
