Split Front Bumper

Split Front Bumper
I am in the body work process on my 73 LT and one thing that I have been thinking about since I got this car in 07, is the split front bumper. Is this an easy task to convert from the standard full length to the Z28 split?

Easy, yes. Cheap, no! It's probably going to run over $2,000 just for the various parts to convert to a split bumper, unless you stumble across someone with used parts. Need the urethane extension, plus all the brackets, braces, and clips. Need the two piece grille. Need upper header, and lower valance. Need parking lamps complete. Need the two split bumpers, and brackets for those. And if you have or want a spoiler you need a different spoiler for the split bumper lower valance.
Or you could go the cheap route and make a faux split bumper by simply removing the full bumper and buy the two split bumpers and bolt them on. At a glance it will be a split bumper, but every Camaro fan will notice the missing pieces and lower turn signals.

I have seen several that people have either just cut their bumper or mounted the splits without the rest of the package. I emailer YEar One today to get a price on the entire kit. Worth the expense, probably not however, this is what I want to do.
Thanks for the info!

Gary you might compare prices with Camaro Central also. I know they offer the complete package at a savings. If you're not in a big hurry you can track down some or all of the pieces used at a big savings like Vall suggested.
