Opinions.. Best place to order replacement panels?
 

Getting ready to restore my 79 z. Have already started floor pans. Not impressed with fit or quality. Hoping someone has had some experience that could steer me in the right direction as to best place to order from. Fit and quality? Also any experience in using any liquid rust removers?

Welcome to the forums! From what I've seen, Auto Metal Direct (AMD) for replacement panels is a good choice. Fitment is good and metal thickness is almost better than original. Also, I have been using Eastwood's Fast Etch for rust removal and it works really well. As you probably already know, there's a lot of different choices out there and plenty of opinions as to what works the best. From experience, I would choose the Fast Etch again if I needed more. Eastwood has a huge selection of different products if you haven't taken a look there. I've even made a molasses solution that completely removes rust if you've got the time to wait for it to work. I've always had good results from National Parts Depot. They seem to have better quality control than some of the other big name stores.
