My 1970 Camaro w/ 572 Build
Looks great! I'm amazed how many people (including me!) bought aftermarket belt systems for Chevy engines and they didn't fit. What the heck is wrong with these companies that they can't make a system that fits what it's supposedly made for? I had to do a bunch of modifying to get my system to work on the Camaro.
Alright, still nothing major to update but the front end assembly is finally finished. That little bracket i posted a picture of a few days ago took the wind out of my sails for 8 months. When i found that the March stuff didnt work, it beat me and i lost drive to work on the car.
Makes me pretty happy that this is done. Its one of the first projects in a long time that is actually complete.
Couple pictures below.

Yes it is a march performance kit. Fit like **** to tell you the truth. I had to modify two of the mounts with a die grinder to get it to fit on the water pump. The rear power steering bracket wasn't used so it was a waste of money. The rear alternator support didnt fit and had to be custom made. Wasn't exactly worth the money i paid.
This is part of the reason that i advise people looking for a large engine to not go with a tall deck and stay with a regular BBC.
Home now. Been to the dentist 2 times in the last couple days and have to go once more tomorrow, then once more next week and am all done. All the fun things after not going for 10 years.
Anyways, nothing really much to report on my car. Been into the shop several times but my buddy is too busy to get it on the hoist to get much of it done. I did however bolt down the new seats and they look great in there. If i am doing alright tomorrow after the dentist i will work on it some more. Need to put in the B&M shifter. Started on that today but lost steam. I will snap some photos of the seats tomorrow.
I do have a question though. I worked a bit on the steering shaft and found that i lost the bolt that holds the intermediate shaft onto the splines at the end of the column. The spot i am talking about is right on the fire wall. It is a special bolt i remember with a square head and almost splines on it. I do not know where this went, and i tried a regular bolt but it doesnt hold the intermediate from sliding off of the column splines. Has anyone ever seen these bolts for sale or know where i can get one? I can take a picture tomorrow if needed.

This is the bolt you want. Not a square head, but a square shank just below the head:
