CRU!NCH TIME - 73 Z28 Build
#151
Got some goodies for the camaro in the mail the other day. I got another used a b s brake module, and abs traction control modulator. On the 1997 camaro the proportioing valve is part of the ABS modulator which I'll need to run the rear disc. So eventually I'll start building the brake lines.

Got some bad news followed by some good news. Bad news is that the 2000 trans am axle aren't going to work in my 73 10 bolt. I sent them off to be cut and resplined. The splined end of the shaft is to small. So I had Moser Engineering make me some axles with an adapter installed so I can press on the ABS sensor ring.
Here they are out of the box
Now I just need to transfer the ring and install them and the rear disc brakes!
here's a shot of the ABS module and Traction control unit. It's not much to look at yet I still have to clean it up.
I finally got the water pump cleaned up and installed since I removed it to replace the distributor. (in cased you missed it yes the distributor is behind the water pump I'm not crazy I promise)
Now I just need some bulk stainless brake tubing and a flaring tool. It's pluming time, I'm pretty excited to bend some pipe.

Hey thanks. Yeah get working on it kid lol. don't forget to take lots of pictures.
I'm FINALLY working on the LS1 rear disc brake swap now. I'm taking lots of pictures to share. I'll post em up when I get it done. I'm almost there I am in the process of relocating the lower driver side shock mount to the inside of the leaf spring. Then I have to get the parking brake working.

I was reading my whole thread and I realized I never posted this. Its really short but its all a shot of break clean will get ya.
I got the new distributor in and it fired up instantly! It scared the hell out of me it started so quickly and it was freaking loud LOL. it only runs for a few seconds since I don't have the fuel pump wired yet. I also don't have any coolant in it yet either. But atleast it's making some noise now
I'm working on posting a video

Yep, definitely short! Try squirting gas into the throttle body a it runs. I've used a squirt bottle to keep them idling until my squirt bottle runs out.
