I pulled my rear bumper today. It was a little ruff behind there. I did some cutting and welding. I removed the 2 spacer blocks in the first pic and I should be able to tuck it in about 2- 2 1/2 inches closer to the main body. I'm touching up some sheet metal thats behind the bumper. Theirs a bit of what one might call a roll pan just under it and it looks like one of the last owners had backed up into something leaving two good sized dents in it that where troublesome to get out.
In the morning, I plan on picking up a transmission filter with a pan gasket and a new dipstick seal. I also want to convert the cooler lines to braided steal flex hose. I'm going to install a ''T'' in it and hook up a temp gauge to it with a new cooler in front of the radiator with its own small electric fan. How much fluid do you think it would take to refill her after all that?
Please don't forget to cast your vote in this months ROTM.

how big of a cooler u planning on running, and thats a good choice to run one fo them very smart, thats what i always do too wich i will be hooking up soon,i say maybe 5 quarts after the filter change and new cooler depending on how big it is,are u just gonna run the lines thru the cooler and block off the ones in the radiator thats what i always do u dont want it running too cool either
I'd skip the fan. It will make the trans run too cool. A separate aux. cooler is plenty to make it cool.

I had a trans cooler on the Nova but it was needed. I agree a fan will tax the heck out of your electrical system if you don't beef that up too. I would use a small one with the gause your taking about and then see the temps. If it is then too high, and I have no idea what that is. Then add the fan later. And the requisite 100A alternator.
While building my car I planned out the use of power windows, stereo (think 1000w), eltr. fans, and fuel pump. So one of the things I got this year was a 140A alternator. Plus fuel injection. A good battery never hurt either.
