I use good low resistance wires. How much it helps I don't know. They will transfer more spark energy. They probably won't make anymore power though.

There's a huge difference in cheap wires vs. good wires. Not a huge difference between brands of hi quality wires vs. other hi quality wires though. Just don't go out and get the cheapie $20 sets of resistor wires and expect them to last as long as good wires.
I only use resistor wires like Damon reccommended, and being cheap I try to find the good ones on sale. The difference between good and bad is how long they last. All seem to work good when new, but it's how long they work.
Some HEI systems like MSD can have such high voltages that the insulation is important. Wires can crossfire, or fire to ground if the insulation breaks down, so get something in 8.5mm min. if you have HEI. I usually run 8.5mm regardless though, just to avoid issues.

Will do. I found a great passenger seat for a steal, but I dont need to replace my passenger seat, I need to replace the upholstery on my driver seat. Can I mod it to fit the driver side?

Take a look at the tracks and see if they can be swapped from pass to driver sides. If so, then you can swap your track to it and go.

I forgot, good wires don't burn as easy. I had an engine fire a long time ago. The wires are still on my motor and looking good. Taylor Spiro Pro's. I just bought another set recently.

I forgot something to check on your seats that might be a deal killer. My '71 has a seatback release on the outside edge of each seat. If your's are the same then they aren't changeable without having this in a position inside that can't be reached easily.

I think I'm just going to spend the money to get the seat re upholstered.
