From a reliable source, I have been told many times that my 1972 camaro is rare due to some company going on strike. I do not know much about the year but I am knowledgable in only restoring it. Can any one out there please tell me why the 72 is rare.

 

I am not positive that a 72 is rare, my dad allways said that his 76 was rare due to the factory strike when he bought it. I am not sure but i could have been delco. Good luck on this search.

 

I know gm themselves had a strike in 71 limiting production of both 71 and some early 72 camaro and chevelle's. Maybe thisis what your reliable source is telling you. If so find out when your car was built and what opinions are on it makes it wirht more if its restored.

example. my 70 is a rs/ss with a 396/325 hp, th-400, and 12, 3.23 non-posi, white with black vinyle top, with deluxe interior black on dark blue. Roughly 1 of 450 built in 70. Mine was built in dec. of 69 just has an example.
