Default what panel is this?

Ok just brought home a 1970 camaro to start a ground up resto on it. I've located most of the parts I need but before I go to the body shop I'd like to try and find some of these panels located on the left and right side of the firewall. These are the panels that the door hinges mount to and the panel in front of it. If you look closely you can see the bottoms rusted out. I just need to know what they are called or where to find some. Any help greatly appreciated!! Mike

I'm not certain what you would name it. I would say lower cowl or maybe outter footwell. However, I can't say that I have ever seen replacement panels for this particular part of a Camaro. You may be doin some custom fabwork.

The part ahead of the door pillar is called a cowl shoulder. This part is available. The door pillar is not and you need to find a scrapped Camaro or fab the parts.

Its just metal. Make a new part. What happens is it is suposed to drain water but it gets clogged with dirt and leaves and wont drain and the dirt and leaves hold moisture and it rots out. So make sure when you put a part on there leave an opening for water. And if the other side is not rusted out clean it out.

oh yeah its clogged alright! haha!! I put a bucket under it and started stabbing the dirt clog that was wedged in there. All kinds of crap fell out, a couple nails? some rubber pieces, a nut and butt load of dirt. I'll look for that cowl shoulder now too, thanks!
