What did you do to your camaro today

I would rest the valve train then do a compression test to see if you burned a valve or seat. My sons sounded like crap until I rest the lash, now its quiet. So quiet all you here is the exhaust in the back. The stripped crank bolt, hmm, someone attempting to roll the engine over with air tools and the plugs still in? PO can be wonderful people to cars.

Not that I know of about trying to crank it with air
tools. And yes the plugs are all in

Drove it to work and out to the YMCA for my daily workout. It's loud so I get a lot of looks and waves. I've been driving it daily for about the past three weeks. Been using the blown tire on my Corsica as an excuse for that. Even with the six speed in it I still go through about a 19 gallon tank of gas a week (20 miles to work one way, plus driving at lunch to workout, then wherever on weekends). It's nice doing 80 - 85 and idling along at 1500 - 1800 rpm's without any problems.

Well I just made a mess of my hood using that Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover. I parked under a tree at a cruise last week and it left little pitch spots all over. I tried the Turtle Wax stuff to clean it, and it seemed to work fine, but when I took it out this weekend for a cruise in it was all hazey!
I had to get the Maguiar's Tech Wax out and wax the whole car to get rid of the smeared mess it made. I'll never use that crap again without waxing it right afterwards!

Today I received my Moser 3" axle studs, so I proceeded to try to install them on my Austin project rear axle. Well 3" is too long to wiggle into place inside the drum, so had to pull the C-clips and remove the axles. Then the darn studs wont fit into the axles as the holes are too small. Tried my 15 ton press to help them in, but still no go.
Finally reamed the holes out slightly to accept the larger base on the new studs and pressed them in. Then I got the wire feed out and tacked them too so they'd be really secure.
Reinstalled the axles after battling the third member for awhile and mounted the new tires and wheels. Now the tires rub the fenders, so I need to radius the wheelwells to fit them. That wont happen until I finish installing the new straight axle up front, so for now I'l take a break until I hit that part of the project. Gotta get this thing trailered to DMV to get the frame VIn stamped so I can remove the engine for the smallblock swap. No numbers on the frame, so I need the change made before I start pulling off numbered parts.
