Turn signal ?
Hi! I live in Norway, and got myself a '76 coupe a few weeks ago, I'm happy with it, but I think something is wrong with the turn signal relay or something? If so, where is the relay? When I move the switch to turn it on, it goes:
---------ON-------------|OFF|-----------ON------------|OFF|------ON------
In short, it is on for a long time, and then just a short pause and then on again.. Is it supposed to be like this or is something broken?
Also, when I push the "emergency signal button?" (to make all the turn signals go) it goes very fast (I think it's too fast), but same interval ON/OFF...
And also, is there some fast/cheap way to squeeze some extra juice out of the 305 engine with 140(!)hp? Can a carb from f.ex a 350 or something be bolted on for more power, and would that be good? I will order new headers soon.

RE: Turn signal ?
oh yes the camaro and firebird are the kings of weird turn signals. from 98-02 they starting making them mostly regular but before that you hand you had some that flashed every 5 seconds and some that flashed a few mph over regular speed so im thinking its normal

RE: Turn signal ?
Go to your local parts supplier and ask for a solid state flasher. These are usually used for vehicles that tow trailers because they flash at the speed no matter what the load is. Plus they are much quieter.
P.S. It will plug in where the original flasher was.
