Default Tires

I'm still tryin to map out my 81 Z project and cant decide on tire size. I have a set of stock wheels off an older style camaro. I want a bigger size on the back than on the front but not too extreme. Just want that beefy look. Any ideas?

If you've got the stock wheels you'll be cheaper off to have one pair reworked. Just take them to a wheel shop and have them cut the centers out and put on whatever outter rim you want.
I did this and got a somewhat stock look, but really wide 10" for the rear.

Thats what I am looking for. Im not sure what cars used the kind of wheels I am gonna use. I know they kinda resemble the SS mags. I know some of the 70 Monte Carlo and Camaros had em. 15X7's either way. Would like to see that pic tho. Thanx

I run 235-60-15 up front on 7" wheels. No rubbing, and great handling through the curves.

i have 245/60/15 with 8inch wide rim and they are early style camaro rallys with stock spacing in the rear and 225/60/15 on 8inch wide rims in the front, with BFGs radial t/a all around i did have 245 up front but they rub the top of the iner fenders so i had to switch them out with the 225s i would put up pics but i cant get them on here,oh and on the rims i had the lip chromed and the center powder coated semi gloss black.

there used to be a thread on here of when i got my new rims but the pictures dont work any more i will see if i can get my budy MM to put a pic of what they look like.

These are the stock rims I run. Are these the type of rims that you're talking about?

I run a 235/60/15 on the front and 255/60/15 on the rear.
