Hey everyone so i decided to make a build thread mainly so i can see my progress and everything like that and hey why not share my work and so i can ask questions along the way.

ive picked up so many parts so far that ive been missing before i started to work on the actual car just so once things start moving along it can happen quicker. i bought my car on may 22nd and not too much progress to report so far mainly just read ALOT and trying to make a game plan.

Ive purchased 3 of 4 of the section floor pan they all dont need to be done but will soon enough so while its torn apart might as well just do it.

here are some pictures i took today just to show the condition of the car.






now shes a little rouch but she is a diamond i just know it. well my first problem is actually now my concern with the floor pans im more concered about the rear valence. I found a piece that covers the lower 6 inches or so of it but im not too sure about the place where the bumper actuall meets up with the car. i know it doesnt cover this portion but i jst want to see what my options are about saving this section. so look at this




so can i just spray that rust remover stuff and then not worry too much about it or what? thanks for all of your help and i really dont get to work on her too much mainly just sundays when im off from work so any help i would love to hear your opinions thanks!!

 

Hey welcome, the panel you need is called a tail panel. I would replace it if the bumper mount look that way. Mostly to get a good look underneath at where the trunk pan meets that area. Keep the pics coming. We love pics.

 

ya deff. replace it, it will only get worse and i don't think any rust paint will stop that cancer.

that is the only rust on the back panel. the trunk floor pan is great and the rest of the valence is in good shape. im just not sure what im going to do right now
